Released in 2018 under Demna Gvasalia’s creative direction, the Balenciaga Fuel Gauge T-Shirt features a graphic inspired by an automotive fuel meter, incorporating the Balenciaga name into the familiar dashboard motif.
The piece reflects the graphic-driven approach of Demna’s early Balenciaga era, where everyday symbols, corporate imagery and commonplace visual language were repeatedly recontextualized within luxury fashion.
